Our second Seasons collection travelled as far as west coast America in one direction and Japan in the other and we’ve received some lovely feedback. Now that they’ve all arrived we can show you what we sent.
Stamford Notebook Company notebook
As it says on their website “In a world of technology, speed and mass production, sometimes pleasure can be found in traditional simplicity and unwavering attention to detail…” and it’s certainly a pleasure to write in a Stamford book. Since 1950 all Stamford Notebooks have been hand bound, in the workshop in Stamford, by true craftsmen using centuries old techniques and some ‘modern’ equipment, and long may they continue!
Kaweco Classic Sport fountain pen and ink cartridges
The Classic Sport from German brand Kaweco closely follows an original 1935 octagonal design – “Small in the pocket, large in the hand” – and is a true pocket pen, concealing most of its length inside its own cap. More than one customer has let us know they intend to buy more; a pretty good endorsement, wouldn’t you say?
Pilot MR Retro Pop ballpoint pen
Boasting great looks with its distinctive patterned band around the barrel and smooth writing, we love the style of this pen. Beautifully weighted, we think it’s a pleasure to write with.
Viarco retro pencils
Portuguese brand Viarco has been making high quality pencils since 1907 and we love all of their retro range, which features packaging designs that they originally used between 1940 and 1950. It was very difficult to choose which set of 12 pencils to include in this collection!
Ledbury Letterpress cards and envelopes
If you ever find yourself in Ledbury, Herefordshire, make sure you knock on the door of Tilley’s Letterpress Printing, just off the High Street. We did just that and were given a tour of the amazing premises where these cards are produced. It was like a trip back in time! Ledbury mixes neon colours with bold designs, as in this set of cards and tissue-lined envelopes.
So what do we have in mind for our Spring Collection? We couldn’t possibly say, it would ruin the surprise, but if you place an order before 30th April, you’ll find out!
If you’re sorry you missed the Winter Collection deadline, good news! We have a VERY small number of these available; please get in touch if you’d like one.
